However, when we first introduced <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hiro-clinic.or.jp\/nipt\/\">NIPT<\/a> testing, we conducted tests via overseas transportation to Verinata Health (USA), accumulating over 50,000 cases of rich experience. Recently, we have received numerous inquiries from examinees about whether we can conduct tests for the five microdeletions performed at other hospitals. To meet the needs of examinees, we will utilize our experience to provide testing via overseas transportation.<br>\n        \u3010Available only at Tokyo Station Clinic, Shinjuku Station Clinic, Omiya Station Clinic, Yokohama Station Clinic, Osaka Station Clinic, Hakata Station Clinic\u3011\n    <\/p>\n    <h2>Disadvantages of the P Plan, Entrusted to Overseas Laboratories<\/h2>\n    <p class=\"lead\">\n        Considering cost performance, Hiro Clinic offers the P Plan, which includes overseas testing by Illumina. Through over 50,000 cases of rich experience, including domestic and international tests, we found the following disadvantages of overseas transportation, leading us to consider and implement domestic laboratory operations. Hiro Clinic&#8217;s domestic tests have confirmed cases of microdeletion positives. For higher accuracy and reliability, we recommend choosing the safe and reliable domestic testing.\n    <\/p>\n    <div class=\"send-out-plan\">  \n        <div class=\"demerit_img\">\n            <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/nipt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/pmama-plan.jpg\" alt=\"send_out airplane illustration\">\n        <\/div>\n        <div class=\"demerit_text\">\n            <h3>Sample Expiry Due to Transportation Errors<\/h3>\n            <p class=\"lead\">\n                There have been several cases of lost samples. Additionally, the number of days required for transportation significantly increased when overlapping with overseas holidays, with delays particularly notable during the Christmas season.\n            <\/p>\n            <h3>Value of the Test<\/h3>\n            <p class=\"lead\">\n                Overseas tests conducted by Illumina have not reported any positive cases of microdeletions to date, which may limit the value of the test.\n            <\/p>\n            <h3>Sample Management Issues<\/h3>\n            <p class=\"lead\">\n                When our doctors visited overseas laboratories, they found that samples were disorderly placed in large baskets, taken out sequentially from the top. As new samples were added, those at the bottom were delayed. Additionally, names and birth dates were checked visually rather than using barcodes, increasing the risk of errors with names in Roman characters.\n            <\/p>\n            <h3>Customs Delays<\/h3>\n            <p class=\"lead\">\n                During transportation to Verinata Health (USA), there were delays due to customs holds, and when shipped on Saturdays, it went through Canada, requiring more time to arrive. This caused samples to expire, necessitating retesting. In another incident, not just one sample, but all samples sent simultaneously expired.\n            <\/p>\n            <h3>Delayed Test Results<\/h3>\n            <p class=\"lead\">\n                It took up to 21 days to receive test results.\n            <\/p>\n            <h3>Inadequate Response to Test Errors<\/h3>\n            <p class=\"lead\">\n                The management screen only displayed &#8220;retest,&#8221; and inquiries to Verinata Health did not provide detailed information, leaving no choice but to wait for results. This retest process was repeated up to three times.\n            <\/p>\n        <\/div> \n    <\/div>\n    <h2>Illegality of Sending Samples to Overseas Laboratories<\/h2>\n    <div class=\"pink-pointbox\">\n        <p>\n            <span class=\"pink-pointmoji\">According to the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, sending samples directly from Japanese medical institutions to overseas laboratories is illegal as it violates Article 15-3 of the Medical Care Act.<\/span>\n            The Medical Care Act is designed to protect patient interests and ensure the provision of high-quality and appropriate medical services. Using medical institutions that violate the Medical Care Act poses significant risks, including the possibility of administrative measures such as business suspension.
