Currently, there are no apps that perform paternity testing. Since paternity testing (DNA testing) requires very accurate and reliable testing, DNA samples must be analyzed by a specialized genetic analysis lab, and this is not something that can be easily done with an app.

However, you can request a paternity test in the following ways

1. DNA Analysis Service

Paternity testing is generally performed by specialized laboratories that provide reliable DNA testing. These laboratories use a simple method of collecting saliva or oral mucosa samples to compare DNA between parents and their children.

Online application: Many DNA testing companies offer a mechanism to order a kit online and have a sample taken at home and mailed to you.

Accuracy: In many cases, we can confirm parent-child relationships with an accuracy of 99.99% or better, and some of our services are also compatible with legally recognized paternity tests.

Major DNA testing companies: Some well-known home DNA tests include GeneQuest and Family Tree DNA.

2. Auxiliary functions of the application

Although paternity testing itself cannot be performed with an app, there are official apps and web services from DNA testing companies that may provide auxiliary functions, such as

  • Checking test results: There is a service that allows you to check your appraisal results online.After the test is completed, results can be accessed on the app or on the web.
  • Tracking Inspection Progress: There are also apps and websites that allow you to track what stage your inspection is in.
  • Family Tree Creation: Some apps include the ability to create a family tree based on DNA test results or to visualize family genetic relationships.

3. Notes on genetic analysis applications

Although simple DNA analysis services through apps exist, these are mainly used for ancestry analysis and health risk analysis, and do not perform the highly accurate DNA comparisons required for paternity testing. In addition, paternity testing that requires legal approval must be conducted through reliable medical institutions or licensed testing companies.

Summary

While there is no app specifically for paternity testing, it is possible to easily request a paternity test at home through a reputable DNA testing company. The app may be used as a tool to help confirm the results of the analysis and track progress, but the analysis itself is performed by a specialized agency.
